Non-resident Tuition
Individuals who are not permanent residents of California are subject to payment of Non-resident Tuition expenses (approximately $18,168 for the 2006-07 school year). Graduate students can take steps to attain permanent resident status during their first year in California, so this is normally a one-time expense (For information on establishing legal residence for tuition purposes, contact the UC Davis Residence Deputy at (530) 752-0879).More information on non-resident tuition charges can be found here.
To assist with this expense, Non-resident Tuition Fee Fellowships are available on a competitive basis. Students wishing to apply for such a fellowship should be aware of the January 15 deadline for filing applications.
